For over 30 years, Dr. Rosen has been conducting education, research and outreach on sustainability throughout a career as a university professor, regulatory agency head, national and international nonprofit organization executive, and member of two state governor’s cabinets for the environment. He is an author of textbooks on nonprofit organization management and water conservation, and has written over 500 papers, presentations and blogs on resource sustainability subjects. Dr. Rosen currently holds a 5-year National Science Foundation grant for SEES (science, engineering and education for sustainability) in arid environments. He recently organized a series of forums involving top experts to create a Roadmap for the State of Texas on the nexus of water, food and energy sustainability, which is the key focus of OSC. He currently is a professor and director of the Texas A&M University in San Antonio’s Institute for Water Resources Science and Technology and is a Fellow at the Meadows Institute for Water and the Environment at Texas State University.
